KHS vs. Atascocita District Game
Kingwood JV traveled to Atascocita and
kept their district record unblemished by beating the Eagles 11-0. Joel Rinehart continued his dominance on the
mound striking out seven en route to a no-no and his fourth consecutive
complete game shut out.
The Eagle’s starting pitcher retired 6 Mustangs in a row before
Kingwood broke the game open with a vengeance in the top of the 3rd
sending 13 batters to the plate and scoring 9 runs. AJ Paradowski led
off with a single to left and advanced to 2nd on a sacrifice bunt by
Dale Brown. Zack McLellan then singled to
left to drive in Paradowski followed by Jon Vernon who
went to first on a hit by pitch. Taylor Taska then loaded the bases with a single to left bringing
Brett Stilwell to the plate. Stilwell
drove a single to left plating courtesy runner Brett Heppler
and Alan Floyd followed with an RBI walk to score
Kingwood added two more runs in the 5th inning. Scott Moore led off with a single to center
and Paradowski joined him when he took one for the
team. Brown then worked a walk followed
by Dalton Steen who scored
