Blue skies and an open Minute Maid roof set the stage for an exciting match between the Mustangs and the Cougars. Torres started on the mound and looked very impressive through four innings allowing no runs. Torres 3 K, 1 BB, and 3 H. Ojala came in at the start of 5^th with a 1 run lead and gave up 3 runs. Ojala finished strong in the 7th with a one, two, three inning that gave the Kingwood’s bats a chance to take the lead. Ojala 1 K, 5 H, 1 HB. Tittle ignited the rally with a double, Cratty answered with a big RBI double to bring the score to 3-2. Mike Pearce, who’s bat was hot all day with a sacrificed fly in the 4^th that drove in the first Mustang run, scorches one up the middle with bases loaded and drives in the 2 winning runs. Pearce (1-3, 3 RBI’s), Cratty (2-4, 1 RBI), Evans (1-3), Ojala (1-3), Tittle (1-2).
