The sophomore baseball team dominated Port Arthur Memorial this weekend winning both games of a doubleheader by scores of 14 to 1 and 18 to 0.   In the first game, Corey Frankum scored 2 runs on a 3 for 3 day, including a double and two singles.  Eric Stover was 2 for 2, Conor McGinnis was 2 for 2, Brett Brown was 2 for 2 and Jordan Raney had an inside the park homerun with 3 RBI's.  Others getting hits were Johnny Dugas, David Tittle, and Matt Morris.  Conor McGinnis pitched 2 innings striking out 3 and giving up two hits.  Travis Crane pitched 2 innings striking out one and giving up one run on one hit. 

 

Winning the second game 18 to 0, Corey Grillet pitched two innings, striking out 5 and giving up one hit.  Chris Brown pitched the last inning facing 3 batters, striking out one.  Nick Purcell led the team with a 3 for 3 day, scoring 2 runs.  Amir Eskafayan, Taylor Netek, Brett Brown and Johnny Dugas scored 3 times each.  Brett Brown and Brett Morte had two hits.  Taylor Netek, Austin Evitts and Johnny Dugas had one hit each. The team is now 18-3-1 overall and 10-1-1 in district.
