Corey Frankum's 2 RBI "inside the park homerun" highlighted the 7 to 2 Sophomore victory over Baytown Sterling.  Frankum was 3 for 4 for the night adding 2 singles and scoring twice.  Eric Stover hit two doubles and scored once in a 2 for 4 game,  Austin Ebow pinch hit in the 3rd inning and singled to center for an RBI.  In th 6th inning, leading 4 to 2 at the time, Kingwood extended its lead scoring 3 runs on a sacrifice fly by Matt Brown and the homerun by Frankum.  In that 6th inning, Corey Grillet singled and courtesy runner Nick Purcell scored on the sacrifice fly by Brown.  Ryan Grundy was hit by a pitch and scored on the Frankum homerun.  Pitching the entire game, Corey Grillet struck out 6 Sterling batters giving up only two unearned runs and 3 hits.   The Sophomore team is now 14-3-1 overall and 6-1-1 in district.
