In the first meeting of the
season, the Sophomore team defeated Baytown Sterling
12 to 5. Conor McGinnis pitched 6 innings for
the win, giving up 1 earned run on 7 hits with 4 strikeouts.
McGinnis also contributed at the plate going 3 for 5 and driving in 3 runs
with a bases loaded triple. Michael Oros closed
the seventh inning giving up one run on one walk and a hit. Jordan
Raney hit his second homerun of the year and Austin Ebow
hit his first. Raney was 3 for 3 including 3 RBI's, a walk and scored 3
runs. Matt Brown and David Tittle had 2 hits
each for the game. The team is now 13-3-1 overall and 5-1-1 in district.
