| On Tuesday the Kingwood JV baseball team traveled to Baytown Lee for their last away game of their undefeated District season. Blake Steil lead the team to an 8-6 victory by striking out seven batters and allowing only four hits in a complete 6 inning ball game. Doug Simmons led the offense for Kingwood with three hits for his four trips to the plate. Kingwood scored first with two runs in the second inning. In the fourth inning with two outs Kingwood rallied to score five more runs. The Baytown Lee Ganders didn’t roll over. They fought back hard by scoring three runs in both the fifth and sixth innings. Kingwoods defense and Blake Steil remained strong in the last inning with a double play and a game ending strike out.
