Houston 5A Baseball's Pitcher Of The Week #6-2003
When you are battling one of the district favorites, it is never easy, and not always successful. Starting an underclassman in this situation and getting positive results is even more rare. The Kingwood Mustangs faced the powerful bats of the Baytown Lee Ganders on Monday and Sophomore Blake Hancock toed the rubber and pitched 5 innings giving up only three hits while striking out twelve. Hancock improved his record to a perfect 6-0 while greatly assisting his team to a perfect 6-0 record in district 22-5A play thus far.
