3/30 vs. Dobie

The Dobie Longhorns inflicted the second district loss of the year on Kingwood with  a 5 - 3 victory over the Mustangs.  A 1 - 1 game after 3 was broke open by Dobie in the bottom of the 4th when they scored 4 times to take a 5 - 1 lead.  The Mustangs rallied back with 2 in the top of the 5th but that was it for the day.  Negron, Fountain, McCormick, Smith, Kolesar and Meyer each had one hit apiece.  Negron scored twice and Fountain once to account for the 3 Mustang runs.  Austin Wood started on the mound and pitched 4 innings, allowing 7 hits, 5 runs, walked 2 and struck out 3.  Blake Hancock pitched the final 2 innings and allowed 1 hit and struck out 2
