Kingwood got a little revenge on Saturday as they claimed a 13 - 7 win over Humble. Humble struck first with 2 runs in the top of the first on three hits, but then Mustang starter Austin Wood settled down and held the Wildcats in check the rest of the way. Humble scored 2 more in the 5th on a couple of errors and then 3 more in the seventh as Wood tired. He ended the complete game allowing 10 hits, walked one and struck out 10. The Kingwood bats provided plenty of support. The Mustangs scored one in the bottom of the first when Kenneth Negron led off the game with a walk. He was moved to second on a sac bunt from Josh Fountain and ended up scoring on a Wood ground ball. The Mustangs then opened the game up with a 6 run second. They opened the inning with 6 straight hits. Kyle Denney, Austin Pendleton and Levi Meyer singled. Brian Smith then doubled to drive home two. Negron and Fountain then singled and Thomas McCormick doubled ending the 6 run inning. The Mustangs scored 4 more in the third. Denney again started things off with a single. Meyer and Smith also had singles. Fountain was hit by a pitch and then McCormick singled to drive home a couple. Fountain then scored when McCormick stole second. The final two Mustang runs came in the fourth when once again Denney singled with one out. Pendleton singled and Meyer walked. One run scored on a Brian Smith fielders choice ground ball and then Negron drove in the second run with a sacrifice fly. Kyle Denney led the offense going 3/3 and scoring 3 times. Austin Pendleton and Brian Smith were each 2/3 and scored twice. Levi Meyer, Josh Fountain and Kenneth Negron were 1/2 with 2 runs each. Thomas McCormick was 1/3 and Jake Kolesar 1/1 to wrap up the 12 hit attach.
